Friendly adult revenue
I was there in 2013 and liked it very much. Busy, friendly athmosphere, for older and bears. Good music videos, good beer, english pub style.
Attitude
My experience: I was in Tokyo for a week and want to explore gay night life in Tokyo. I went to Shinjuku at 8:30pm Tuesday. Maybe it's a bit early because the first two bars I went has literally no people. I came to GB bar to see if I have luck. When I came in, a staff (or owner) give me a peek and quickly move away. There's no people inside as well. So I asked him when people usually come. Here's what his response: "We just open at 8. You can leave and come back at 11. Bye." and then he turns his back to me. I don't want to attribute my experience to anything. But from the way he talks and his behavior, that's far from friendly or welcoming.
Foreigner meets Japanese and vice versa
The crowd here is mostly foreigners and Japanese in their 30s - 40s. When you go there you will mostly see two guys chatting, one will be a foreigner and the other one will be Japanese. This place doesn't have too many visitors in their 20s. I am in my 20s, I don't really like the place, but I don't hate it either. When you enter the room it seems like a meat market - everybody stares at the new people entering the room. But still, I quite like the 4 TV screens showing the music videos to music playing through the speakers. the atmosphere is quite cozy.
