Iseya いせや 総本店

(1 Rating)
Classic yakitori restaurant
For a taste of real Tokyo, this classic and rustic institution feels as if you are traveling back in time. Thanks to its charm, it would appear not much has changed from its inception in 1928. Some of the best and most reasonable yakitori (grilled meat skewers) in Tokyo and the fabulous location make it a must. Right at the entrance of the beautiful Inokashira Park off of Kichijoji station, a popular shopping district, the smoky grilled chicken and beef skewers infuse the air with barbecued goodness, making it impossible not to stop and wait in the line forming outside this popular joint. Order a cold beer, a variety of yakitori, and definitely don't miss the oversized gyoza.
